Roof Replacement

When a roof is past repair, patching it just costs you twice. Legion tears it down to the deck, fixes what's rotten, and builds a complete new system — so you get a roof that's ready for the next Houston storm season, not one that's holding on until it.

What to know

Most Houston-area subdivisions went up in waves, so whole streets of roofs are hitting the 15-to-20-year mark at the same time, right when spring hail finishes them off. A full replacement is often covered when hail has damaged several slopes. In Cypress, Katy, The Woodlands and other HOA communities, we confirm the approved shingle color before ordering so your project doesn't stall at the architectural committee.

What a Legion roof replacement includes

  • Full tear-off down to the decking — no layering over old shingles
  • Decking inspection, with damaged boards replaced before anything goes on
  • Synthetic underlayment and ice-and-water protection at valleys and penetrations
  • New drip edge, pipe jacks, vents and flashing
  • Architectural shingles installed to the manufacturer's nailing pattern
  • Ridge vent or box vents sized for proper attic airflow
  • Yard protection with tarps, magnetic nail sweep and full cleanup

Signs it's time to replace, not repair

  • Shingles curling, cracking or losing granules into the gutters
  • Multiple leaks or water stains in more than one room
  • Soft or sagging spots when walking the roof
  • Hail damage across several slopes (insurance often covers this)
  • Roof is 15–20+ years old and repairs keep stacking up

Roof Replacement FAQ

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family homes are torn off and re-roofed in one to two days, depending on size, pitch and weather. We'll give you the schedule before we start.

Will insurance pay for my new roof?

If your roof has storm damage — hail or wind — your homeowner's policy may cover replacement minus your deductible. We inspect and document the damage for free so you know where you stand before you file.

Do you offer financing?

We don't offer financing. We work insurance claims and retail (cash) jobs, and we'll give you a straight price up front.
